1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ZapTap (the "Platform" or "App"), operated by ZapTap ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or participate in our economy.

2. Description of Service

ZapTap is a real-world location-based social gamification app. The App enables users to explore physical locations mapped using Uber's H3 spatial hex index system, discover venues seeded by the Google Places API, and verify their physical presence using device GPS coordinates. Users can check in at checkpoints, upload verification photos, build streak multipliers, secure local venue Mayorships, and compete on localized leaderboards.

3. User-Generated Content (UGC) & Creator Studio

Users in good standing can access the UGC Creator Studio to design custom physical trails and quests ("Experiences") consisting of sequential checkpoints. Checkpoints can be configured to validate players via: (a) Proximity Check (GPS verified ≤200m), (b) Trivia Quiz answers, or (c) Photo Verification (real photo snapshots uploaded to our secure Supabase `checkins` storage bucket).

By uploading photos or creating trails, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute this content. You agree not to upload explicit, infringing, or illegal material.

4. Virtual Currency ("Zap Credits") & Subscriptions

The Platform utilizes a virtual currency known as "Zap Credits" (ZC) valued at approximately $0.05 USD per credit. Zap Credits are purchased through Stripe Checkout and have no cash value outside our official cash-out mechanisms.

• Stripe Credit Packages: Credits can be bought in packages: Alpha Pack ($4.99 for 100 ZC), Beta Booster ($14.99 for 350 ZC), and Apex Hoarder ($39.99 for 1000 ZC).
• Zap+ VIP Subscription: A monthly subscription priced at $9.99/month providing double XP, VIP profile styling, up to 10 streak freezes, and an increased creator royalty split.
• Refund Policy: All purchases of Zap Credits and VIP subscriptions are final and non-refundable. Disputing legitimate charges will result in permanent account termination and forfeiture of all credits.

5. Creator Royalties & Stripe Payouts

Creators who publish custom Experiences can charge entry fees in Zap Credits. Earnings are distributed as follows:

• Standard Splits: Standard creators receive a 70% royalty split of the Experience price in Zap Credits.
• Zap+ VIP Splits: Creators with active Zap+ subscriptions receive an 80% royalty split.
• Withdrawals: Creators can cash out accumulated credits directly to their bank accounts via Stripe Connect. The minimum payout threshold is 50 Zap Credits ($2.50 USD equivalent, evaluated at $0.05 USD per credit).

6. 2-Tier Affiliate Referral System

Users can earn commission credits by referring new users to the Platform using custom links:

• Tier 1 (Direct Referral): Earn 25% recurring commissions on all activity purchases of your direct referrals.
• Tier 2 (Indirect Referral): Earn 10% recurring commissions on the referred activity of users referred by your affiliates.
• Payout Limits: Commissions accumulate as Zap Credits and are subject to the same Stripe Connect payout rules and minimum withdrawal thresholds.

7. Third-Party Integrations

ZapTap integrates with third-party service providers to deliver backend features:

• Google OAuth: Used for account registration and session login. Your name and profile details are governed by the Google API Services User Data Policy.
• Supabase: Authenticates user credentials, operates the database, and hosts check-in images under Row-Level Security checks.
• Stripe: Manages credit purchases and distributes creator payouts via Connect.

We are not liable for outages, billing disputes, or authentication failures originating from Google, Stripe, or Supabase.

8. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to exploit the Platform. Prohibited activities include: (a) GPS coordinates spoofing or altering device coordinates; (b) creating self-referral accounts to farm affiliate commissions; (c) uploading explicit or copyright-infringing waypoint photos; and (d) reverse engineering or botting check-in APIs.

9. Termination & Limitation of Liability

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms. ZapTap is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from app usage, data loss, or physical actions taken while navigating real-world locations. Users assume all physical risks of location exploration.
